“”Kept u waitin’ huh?” in real life.”

“Our Snake, Akio Otsuka test-played GZ with Sony’s headmount display ““Personal 3D Viewer” last week. Cool.”

    suave as fuck

Playing a third-person tactical shooter with a virtual reality headset? I believe that it’s a horrible combination.

    • Johnno

The 3-D viewer does not do VR. Though Oculus Rift devs have managed to make a case for third person and RTS style VR.

      • William of Orange

Oh, my bad. So it’s like a 1080 p Virtual Boy with 3d capabilities, right?
And I recall the 3D viewer having a blu ray/dvd/cd tray. But it looks like it’s connected with a usb cable to the ps4.

i saw this on his FB and i freaking knew it was Akio-san playing the game 😀

freaking badass!! and that style!!!! and wow the head gear really does look like the same NVG he used from the first trailer ^^
in the third pic, he really does look like Snake! especially if you see the poster on his left side 🙂

i wonder if Tomokazu Sugita(Miller) and Kikuko Inoue(Chico) and Nana Mizuki(Paz) are there as well? ^^

man i’m too hype for this!!

in other news, he’s been posting alot of Robocop pics lately

    so Robo Gear?? XD

  • Kaniebas

I wonder if this means Sony is preparing a VR headset for PS4…

    • Johnno

Rumors strongly suggest that they are. But the Sony HMZ 3-D viewer is not a VR headset so this doesn’t really tell us anything.

Wouldn’t it be great if Konami released a HIDEO KOJIMA COLLECTION

    It could include
    -Snatcher/Policenauts HD Collection (PSVita/PS4)
-Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (PSP)
-Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection (PSVita)
-Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection (PS3)
    -Metal Gear Solid V (PS4)

What about penguin attack? By far the most groundbreaking and highly acclaimed game in Kojima’s library. I mean…look i….. Sigh, I can’t. I just can’t..
      it’s a master piece!

      • flying_fox

Penguin Adventure, you mean! ^^ A great game indeed, it’s actually quite good.

  • César H. Sandoval

So, pics of Keiffer playing it when?

    • ObsessedGeorge

      In 24 hours.

      • César H. Sandoval

Damn it, Chloe! I need those pictures now!

  • Revenge of Anonymous

Akio Otsuka is a fucking beast can’t wait to grab the JP version on March 20.

  • Johnno

This is NOT a VR headset. Just basically a 3DTV strapped to your head. But I guess this means Ground Zeroes supports 3-D. At least on PS4.

  • William of Orange

Could somebody explain to me why the previous article at MGI.com got involved in this random fanboy debate?

    • Nyxus

      Beats me…

  • BigBossWantsYou

How much does the viewer cost?

    • Nyxus
      • ObsessedGeorge

I’m going out later to buy one. Want me to get one for you Nyx? How about you William? 😀

        • Nyxus

No, not really a fan of 3D, and I think it’s far too expensive anyway. But I hope you enjoy it!

          • ObsessedGeorge

Nah, It’s not a problem, in fact I’ll buy two for me, so I get double the 3D pleasure! 😀 End of sarcasm.

          • Nyxus

            You’ll have 6D!

          • ObsessedGeorge

            And brain damage! Hell yeah!

          • William of Orange

            *Epic facepalm*

        • William of Orange

I’ll pay for your flight tickets to Amsterdam!

      • ObsessedGeorge

Seriously now, 1000$? Who is able to a afford such a thing?

        • William of Orange

Is it a rhetorical question? You got to be rich as hell if you play the game with the 3D viewer and the use remote-play function on the vita, while navigating yourself through camp omega with your tablet!
