The final two days of Hideo Kojima’s trip to Paris – Signing sessions and screenings
Promoting the launch of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, Hideo Kojima and his team visited London and Paris. Here is a summary of the final two days.
March 18
On March 18th Kojima held a signing session in the Micromania store where fans could get their copy of the game autographed.
“Finished the signing session at MICROMANIA in Paris.”
“With security guys at the signing session.”
After that the team went out for lunch.
“Visiting restaurant of Jordan’s father. one of the level designers in Kojima Productions.”
“Korekado & Jordan in Tokyo.”

“With everybody.”
“My PA ordered Calzone.”
“I ordered Pizza. Good taste, Jordan.”
After that Kojima went to a movie screening where they were playing a trailer for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, as well as a movie selected by Hideo Kojima: 2001: A Space Odyssey.
“My troops were standing by when I got out of car.”
“On the boat.”
“At sign session, Maxime Musqua from Canal+ visited me. He brought the poster signed back in 2001, when he was 13.”
“Had event at theater w/320 fans, showing GZ trailer, JP TV ad, & a secret trailer. Then saw 2001: A Space Odyssey.”
March 19
March 19th was the final day in Europe for Kojima and co. Kojima did some more sightseeing and dropped by Konami’s office. He also took a look in one of the stores anticipating MGSV: GZ’s European release.

Fun fact: the woman left from Kojima is Cécile Caminades, of whom the character in Peace Walker was based.

“Pierre from Paris branch, who helped us a lot during our stay.”

“GZ launch. To fans from Paris with LOVE.”
“Launch in Europe, expect something tomorrow. Hint: MICROMANIA.”
“U will see it tomorrow.”
In the evening, the team stepped on a plane back to Japan, concluding the European tour.
“Will I make it on time to Kojima Station?!”
