PlayStation Awards 2015: MGSV wins Users’ Choice Prizes and Platinum Prize (over 1M sold in Asia and Japan)

On December 3rd, the annual PlayStation Awards were held in Japan to celebrate the year’s most successful games in the region, and MGSV took home several prizes.

The games have to be released between November 1st 2014 and October 31st 2015 to be eligible.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain won in three categories: the Users’ Choice Prize Japan, the Users’ Choice Prize Asia and it received a Platinum Prize.

As you can see, this also confirms MGSV: The Phantom Pain has sold over 1 million copies in Japan and Asia. Last year, Ground Zeroes won the Gold Prize for selling over 500.000 copies, as well as the Users’ Choice Award, while MGS3: Snake Eater and MGS1 were rewarded in the 20th anniversary categories.
