At 6.5 hours for 5% & 8 hours for 6% we can estimate between 130-133 hours for starters. Now. I’m thinking the intro ran long, there will be one or two significantly long boss fights, a superior ending (to make us all cried), and fiddling time – so I estimate the game to be:

From what i see The Metal Gear Solid V : The Phantom Pain has a RPG element to it then what it was. As it is an open world. Motherbase management, buddies, etc.
it was either him or Yong who said this, but one of them said that the hospital is super scary and batshit insane beyond anyone’s wildest expectations possible. Looking forward to sitting back and playing the hospital sequence after the first day back to school 🙂
It was Yong I think and it is just what I expect from that mind-blowing hospital part. As Official Playstation Magazine said, “is there a better beginning in video games?”.

I was ecstatic to learn in place of preloading we can download the game as soon as it hits midnight in New Zealand. That means I can start downloading at 7am on the 31st and play the opening the day before launch. The statements from Crimsonfox and Yong have fully put my hype over the edge. I’m starting to really believe MGSV could be the next industry standard game, a la Ocarina of Time. I really believe this could happen.

In other words it is really impossible for me to over analyze everything, but for me it isn’t “over” analyzing it is simply analyzing.

I’m actually a bit paranoid of every big MGS YT personality now. What if Yong just casually spoils a turning point in the story while he is talking about the great detail of quiets rear or something.
I’ll probably just stick to the least spoilery reviews once sunday comes. Play some dark souls and listen to some podcasts, that makes time fly pretty fast.
I’ll just double my work load. I actually switched to night shift until 28th September. This way I can sleep over the day and have only a few hours at home. + extra coin.

If he’s a responsible reviewer then I’ve got no issue with the guy. Its just the reviewers that will spoil the game for people just to get hits that annoy me. We’ve waited years for this game, thats a fact not lost on any true MGS soldier.

I am so hyped just to play the hospital sequence! What the F happened between GZ and TPP, how exactly did BB get into a coma?! I just finished watching the 2013 GDC gameplay demo of the hospital part again and I am still mind screwed!

Both would be a no at this point. He said he was at 6% completion after 8 hours. This is 5 or 6 main ops and 4 side ops i think. You will have better luck with this question tomorrow 🙂
Yeah, If I recall correctly there is about 15 missions in Afghanistan before you go anywhere else.

That is really only a question you can answer. A big question though is are you willing to see through a few faults to enjoy the rest of an amazing game, because even if you dislike the story you could greatly enjoy the gameplay. Again though no one can answer that question for you even if they have 100% the game.
I can answer the question of “is the game good enough for to try out?” and the answer is YES, Kojima and KP are known for quality products that do not fail to deliver, whether you like it or not is uncertain, but whether it will be a quality product or not is certain.
