First 4 Figures is working on the second and third character. If support is there, more Metal Gear Solid figures could be made (including from other games in the series).

haha, The night vision one looks like a Splinter Cell Cover
Splinter Cell 7 Confirmed!
I thought the exact same thing. Something that SHOULDN’T happen with a really expensive Metal Gear Solid statue. I wouldn’t spend 50 quid on this thing.
In the video they hint at the second character: Psycho Mantis.
On facebook F4F also confirmed Gray Fox
They did? Nice!

Ohhhjhhhhh I’d love Mantis
Rotating ammo box and night vision goggles:

The ammo box is a very neat touch 🙂
Ya, even its rotation speed is like the game’s.. 😀
That gimmick is the best thing about the figure, it’s the only thing I love about it, it blows my mind how they got so much wrong that could have been fixed by only playing the game, but at the same time they have the rotating ammo box, which is hard to understand and represent without playing the game, lol.
I don’t think its all that bad, there have been way worse MGs figures
Eh? With all the fixes, it’s the most accurate MSG1 Snake depiction we’ve gotten. I’m amazed at the initial mistakes, but that’s why it was just a prototype, Hot Toys does the same thing-show off a prototype and tweak based on feedback.
I think they fudged it from the start, not knowing what kind of character they were making and what kind of game it was. Like the figure SCREAMS “BLOODY ACTION!” and “Splinter cell stealth kills YEAH!” especially with the NV goggles, but MGS is not any of that.
The figure is better with the changes, but the fact that they had to make so many OBVIOUS changes to the figure shows they have absolutely ZERO context for the figure they are making.
P.S. Sorry about the late late reply, life’s been keeping my time.
His face looks as if he was a Metal Slug character hahaha
The figure was based on the Legacy Collection:
https://orig07.deviantart.net/1aad/f/2015/163/6/8/metal_gear_solid_legacy_collection___solid_snake_r_by_datflashkid-d8wzh0b.png
For some reason, even thought the Solid Snake Play Arts Kai had some flaws as well, but at least that had the Socom and the face looks the same as that LC render.
this is what happens when Yoji is no longer around to check the figures
MARCOOOOoooo
*Iron Slug
From First 4 Figures:
“Hey guys – seen your feedback on Snake’s gun! We’re looking into it – will work on a Socom and run it by Konami for approval. Fingers crossed! Also, FYR guys – our Snake is based on the legacy edition Solid Snake (see pic below). We actually got the 3D file for this directly from Konami (based on the pose of the cover) so the proportions match this. Thanks for your feedback guys!”

What a godawful figure. I’m actually blown away with had bad that turd is, like, wow. Talk about not knowing what you are making.
Yeh, luks truly horrible. Something went very wrong here. Their Dark Souls line is so much better and a lot more accurate.
Probably because their Dark Souls line has easier and more accurate models, and the games themselves have an easy to understand and represent play style and thematic setting.
They are still adjusting the figure based on feedback.
There are so many problems with that fact.
EDIT: OK I will give them credit for actually attempting to fix the figure.
I agree. It almost more unMetal Gear Solid as MGS V lol. Okay that was harsh, I take it back, its not THAT unMetal Gear Solid like.
Lol looks like the dude from syphon filter and gears of war. Snnnnnnaaaaaaakkkkkkeeeee!!!
Snnnnnnnnnnnaaaaaaakkkkkkeeeeee!
Looks great ! You have a 3D file ? Which format, do you have a link ?? Thanks !
F4F is looking at the feedback.
Some adjustments (SOCOM, no mullet and thinner arms)

When you have to get feedback from your figure, you know you are doing something wrong.
When you have to change something according to obvious feedback, you know you’ve done something wrong.
When you have to change this much obvious shit for your supposedly super amazing awesome figure, you know you fucked up royally.
Seriously how hard would it have been to get someone to supervise the design of the figure for accuracy and what not?
At least they are willing to admit the error and actually change it, there were some pretty bad Venom figures and at any point no one thought about changing the way they look.
MG Related: At first i didn’t give it any thought, but after watching Jordan’s Destiny 2 closely, i realized that it’s a little more than a promo, that Jordan took time and effort to make some pretty visuals here, and seeing how he blended live action with CGI, gives us an idea of what to expect from the Metal Gear Movie from a visual point.

It just doesn’t look like Solid Snake from the first game. You really need to go back and look at all the concept art and renders for the character. And those green goggles lol? It seriously looks like Sam Fisher in that pic.
I finally wanted to get rid of some nukes on PS4 after a long time of not playing phantom pain and actually not playing FOB almost at all, I think I’ve played like 3 or 4 times on FOB, so I went to the tab of nuclear targets and to my surprise I was not able to find one person with nukes, I though I had seen Konami fix this a couple months ago but seems that they didn’t as no person with nukes appear in that tab.
Yeah, they said they were looking into it but apparently it hasn’t been fixed yet: http://www.metalgearinformer.com/?p=30330

i am having so many great laughs with this game 😀
That game is awesome, have fun with it! And yes, it’s very funny at times, actually wrote an article about that: http://www.videogameshelf.com/?p=4737
Thanks!
good read, now i can’t wait to get home and bust up Mr. Shakedown again 😀
Kojima just started an avalanche of tweets (20 or so) regarding game dev… Interesting..
https://twitter.com/HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN/status/904949771508396032
It feels so weird that knowing that Hideo Kojima is making a brand new IP. The game is going to be something else, I don’t know what exactly but I really hope it manages to elevate the medium like he always said he aims to do. Gaming is so young as an art from it doesn’t really have that Citizen Kane type piece that can be used as a singular definition for the medium. How amazing would it be if Death Stranding became that.
Kojima always was and still is someone really, say, very unusual, “exotic” since the beginning.. When I first played MG, it really felt very different from any other video game concept. Like a truly more mature vision of the medium than others were accomplishing with whatever adventure and / or action platform, beat-em ups, shoot-em ups or racing in the late 80’s.
It definitely not felt just like a basic linear progression / improvements from older concepts but a real breakthrough in what games could offer in terms of emotions, suspense and action.
Not sure it will re-insure you, but every single time in the past I slightly doubted him and his aptitude to increase gaming sensations with his next title, I was always severely wrong to the point I can’t doubt him since say MGS1.
MGS1 was truly awesome, and I did not yet completely realized how safe it was to bet on Kojima at this time. Was just still younger and less paying attention to the dev and his team.
But there was so many link with the spirit of MG, all with the better and fully utilized specs offered by the PlayStation..
So I bet it will be awesome because he always deliver “what feels good to play”. Not sure how to define it, but a bit like a very steady music band..
Remember MGSV innovative gameplay yet with GZ ? Nah, the guy just can’t fail because I believe he is way too close from his audience in terms of gaming tastes, and with his high aptitude to convince new comers as well.
I still remember a FPS-only-oriented friend that never played any MG. I spent months to convince him to give a shot at TPP… But once he finally did, he was looking at me way differently, xD
Like having acquired a way more complete vision of what some games can offer.
price is a tad outrageous imo
Solid snake
I wish they had just used Snake’s model from the games (MGS1 remake or mgs2). This doesn’t look like the Snake I spent dozens of hours with so why would I want him on my desk?
They’re making some changes to the head (see images at the top of the post). If they had based it on The Twin Snakes that would probably have angered a lot of people.
I haven’t played the twin snakes in ages but doesn’t he look like he does in mgs2, minus the mullet and facial hair?
That looks nothing like Snake.
Oh guys. Of course he looks nothing like Snake. Because that’s NOT SOLID SNAKE!

First 4 Figures breaking fourth wall here but everyone is just complaining insteand of praising them for a great hommage to Kojima’s shenanigans.
Brother, I’m a whole different game than Liquid.
