Kojima paints his Mother Base pink
Last E3 we learned that we will be able to customize Mother Base’s color, and at Gamescom 2014 a blue and grey base was shown. Today, Kojima chose a dashing new look for his own Mother Base. Instead of the Big Shell-like orange we’ve mostly seen until now, today we can admire the structure painted in a bold pink tone.

The first thing I remember when i look at dark purple is Hydraulic LOW-RIDERS from GTA San andreas!! AWWWW YEAAAHHHH!.. due to which almost all my cars in gta V were dark purple with dark blue/black

i’m afraid not. in the motherbase vids the DD logos had the same colouring (on fuel tanks red & commando tower had a black logo) as on these pics.

GDC event is way to early for a phantom pain release date to be given to us, you also have to take inconsideration Shalashaska that kojima and his team are still doing voice recording section’s for the english and the Japanese voice actors. Kojima just announce not to long ago that the phantom pain will be supporting Chinese and vietnamese voice acting ( but i don’t know if i’m 100% right about kojima mention vietnamese voice acting) in the game, not only that we all have to take inconsideration that it might take awhile for kojima and his team to complete MGO and patching up the game itself’s. This is why i believe E3 will be the perfect event for kojima to give us an release date and a sweet trailer to top off at that.
Well.. that just crushed my dreams of getting this game anytime soon :'(
No shalashaska your dream’s are being fulfilled, but just not in the way you want it. Think about it shalashaska, the longer it take’s for Kojima and his team to finish this game the better. By time you get your hands on the phantom pain shalashaska, kojima and his team will far pass your expectations and hopes for this game. So in terms your dreams are being fulfilled shalashaska, you just have to be a little patient and wait a little longer for them to come true.
no dude. tpp won’t get any voice overs except for english & japanese. it will support foreign texts & menutexts, though.

I truly believe that kojima will give us a release date for the phantom pain at E3 not at GDC, because the event is just to close around the corner to announce a release date with the voice record section’s still going on and everything. Liquid25 i believe the phantom pain won’t hit store shelves no later than mid july or mid august this year, tho i hate to be the burden of bad news i’m sure you will agree to huh.
I don’t think the recordings are a reason for the release date. It’s only codec conversations. Not a big deal. But of course it is possible to hit the shelves after August. In general, it’s not good to have high expectations about something. Personally, i am ready for every date in 2015, even if it is 31th December 😛

If the release date is announced at GDC, we can expect the game during summer. If it is announced at E3, then the game is releasing after summer. Possibly Octomber/November.

Kojima has said that the sales from Ground Zeroes on steam in only 2 month were “SOLID” which makes me think that they will make sure to make the gap between the Console and the PC Version smaller then in Ground Zeroes case.

Also Check out the stars in the background .. they look BEAUTIFUL! I never thought about this before but I think RDR and GTA V probably have the best Night sky.. Who else wanna bet that TPP’s Night sky will be much better and much more realistic. God, I’ll go nights just looking at the stars rather than doing any missions .. let Kaz die.. dont care.. i’ll make a new friend in the stars :’D

Unfortunately the moon in MGSV was always in the same place, it hasn’t moved, so no Dynamic nights in MGSV it seems.
Tbh as long as there is night happening in open world gameplay and it looks beautiful, im alright with it ..and ofcourse.. i’d like diferrent moon shapes if possible and CONSTELLATIONS 😀
Let’s hope that the moon being on the same place just means work in progress, and that in the final version there will be Dynamic Sun and Moon Cycles.

Amazing sunsets where the sun looks larger would be amazing. The sun can look amazing just based on whatever clouds and stuff are in the atmosphere. I definitely wouldn’t care if that stuff was overlooked though. Just the stuff we know about up until now is enough and no doubt a crap load has been kept from us.
I actually spend a lot of time in GTA V staring at the weather effects and incredible views at night of distant cities and stuff. Sometimes the sound of the sea/rain/wind is really relaxing. I can’t wait to see how Kojima’s team handled this kind of stuff because no doubt they’ve put a lot of thought into it since we’ll spend a lot of time in the massive maps.

I liked gta night sky too because it felt amazing. Especially the thunder and lightning effects were Awesome. But No doubt, RDR Takes the prize for best night sky ANY DAY against ANY game.
Oblivion had an awe inspiring night sky on the first play through. I need to play RDR again to check it out but from what I remember it reminded me of when I stayed in the countryside and was stunned by how the sky is supposed to look when it isn’t dimmed by city lights.

The first movie is “Airplane!” .. you MUST see it, one of the best comedic movies of all time. They dont make good comedy like that anymore :/
I watched that not too long ago. All those comedy movies from that time were great, even the terrible ones usually had some good parts. There’s something just missing in newer movies and it’s not even as if it’s nostalgia because Airplane was before my time. Newer movies seem more interested in letting you know that they’re being “ironic” (they’re misusing the word) and that they’re “nerdy” or “geeky” and intelligent and attractive and even muscly in some way. (Brooklyn Nine Nine comes to mind) Comedy protagonists aren’t supposed to be someone we can look up to or be envious of. (Well, they can be but they’ll probably never reach the funniness of the likes of Airplane.)

Mother Base looks awesome in any color.
That is a pretty epic shot of MB at night.
I think building Mother Base won’t be so different from Peace Walker or the Ground Zeroes Companion app. So we need to gather resources send soldiers out on missions and get enough GMP to build. So customizing won’t be just flipping back and forth at the start of the game. We might have to earning it.
So damn beautiful….especially that night image with, stars and DD ;).
I’ll just keep my Mother Base rusty and ugly looking, no paints…haha just kidding XD.
Some of my favorite colors I will choose, Red & Black or maybe Blue & Purple. Yellow is good too…darn so many colors! Power of the Pink is pretty strong, nice going Kojima-san.
I’m pretty sure that Britain or US had pink stealth planes during WW2, I’d really like to find out whether Kojima made it pink because of that. I wonder if different colors change the visibility of the base.
I love contrast, so probably will get black or white for my MB.
Although ocean blue would be so nice, enemies would find that color harder to detect in the middle of the sea in the night if all lights were turned off (in a real case).

Big Boss sure does have strong legs since of all of that running/sprinting/crouncing/crawling etc,,,,,but the reason he appears to have bodybuilder like legs is cuz of the suit

Nxyus i don’t think big boss has been working out at all, i believe he’s gain weight all do to the boss. If you can remember in metal gear solid 3 snake eater in the virtuous mission, the boss could tell big boss loss a lot of weight just by hearing his voice. When i heard this from the boss i immediately thought to myself big boss must be going threw some kind of stress that cause him to loss weight to the boss surprise. After playing peace walker i knew my theory in MGS3 was right, big boss gain a lot of weight in PW all do to the fact that big boss could not get over the boss death.
Or after hospital escape, he decides to start training like hell. And gets bigger leg muscles, as he is Big Boss so he need to have big things.

During WW2 stealthy planes used to be painted pink because if they were painted blue, weirdly, they were easily spotted against the sky. Pink rendered them invisible to the human eye because of how complicated the sky’s color really is. Maybe that’s what Kojima is doing here?

You’re right, it is like a tradition to have torture scene in every MGS ;D. In the case of MGSV, maybe the whole game is a torture and well…we get to have some fun with Huey.
The Collector’s Guide for MGS4 mentions this theory of Nietzsche as well, in the interpretation.

If there’s an additional layer, I’ll add Silver. Depending on how small or large the coating to that layer is, I’d swap Silver and Yellow around. Basically, I want it to correlate with Diamond Dogs logo.
That’s how I had ZEKE’s paint job set up in Peace Walker. His spray-paint consisted of Black and Orange, to represent Militaires San Frontieres colors. I also like using black at its forefront, since I feel it can support a certain type of psychological warfare, specially when it comes to Special Forces, and… it’s just a badass color lol.
You could call your base Wonderful Wasps or Horny Hornets or something.

After watching Elfen Lied (Great anime by the way, wonderful story) i can’t get this question out of my head.
What if Venom Snake is Nuclear…literally, i mean we see him full of Blood from his face to his knees, dead bodies and fire everywhere like a Nuclear Bomb just exploded, while screaming like he killed all these people.
1 thing that could cause this, if he is Nuclear, is the “Horn” that wasn’t in his head when he was on the operation table, therefore the “Horn” may be the device implemented mention in the “Project Omega” or how was is called.
Why is not the Arm? He did not have the Prosthetic Arm in the Hospital, so the “Device” has to be the horn.
Now who is experimenting on him, is it Skull Face, Zero or maybe Ocelot?

That is interesting theory :O, I haven't thought about it that way. Yep he's really bloody in the scene, I just wonder what the hell really happens there. How is the town destroyed and all that blood on BB where it come from T_T… Maybe he sort of explodes o_O, in Kojima game anything is possible..
Something I have thought before too about the horn, is that if it is somehow implemented by certain enemies later. Last year there released this one leak, which because of few things made me think it could be Skull Face.
Or then just as many say, the horn is inside the skull at the hospital table. But as we've seen from recent twitter images, the horn is pretty f*cking big so can it even fit inside the skull/brain lol. Will be interesting to see how TPP story goes, will it just have more simple explanations or some twisted mind f*ck plot twists everywhere.
Some here will definitely think this is so ridiculous bullcrap, but it's fun imo to think of these possibilities XD.

It’s a good show, but i don’t see the hype a lot of western fans in general have been salivating. Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex did it much better.
At least the OST is freaking amaiznig. Yoko Kanno did both series along with Darker Than Black(my favorite Anime of all time).

I hope there will be collectibles through the maps, so you can get customizable parts for your MB, like colors, and a few others things. Also different skins for clothes and so on. I love unlockables and collectibles! Just like in Ground Zeroes, the patches.
