Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain E3 2014 Trailer (English and Japanese)

The new trailer for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain was revealed during Sony’s E3 conference last night.

Of course it leaked a couple of hours earlier, which presenter Andrew House jokingly referred to as a ‘sneak peek’. Either way, check it out below. Note that like last year, there are actually multiple versions of the trailer. While the one played during the conference did not contain any dialogue, the version released on the web is over a minute longer, and at the end we can hear a few lines.

Konami released the Japanese version as well. Check it out below.

This trailer is insane. I have watched it an unhealthy amount of times since yesterday morning. Around 2:30am Los Angeles time. Some pretty dark stuff goes down. I can’t wait to see more of it!

…I’m of the opinion that The Metal Gear Unit at the end is either a Retro-fitted Metal Gear ZEKE or is Metal Gear TX-55 based off of Granin’s schematics from MGS3.

I know what they did, after rebuilding ZEKE they decided to replace the Peace Walker head they had with a new Metal Gear REX head they unlocked.

Joking aside it really is a cross between MG REX and MG ZEKE, and it looks REALLY cool.
