As you can see the collector’s edition comes with a (half size) replica of the bionic arm, something that was rumored a while back.

The Premium Pack and Special Edition are for Japan. The others are for Europe and the US. In the UK the CE is GAME exclusive though. Don’t know about other countries.

The good thing is that in the collector edition, there is a Metal Gear helmet for MGO, which makes me think that we will have helmets and all those freaky stuff like in MGO2. I’m happy 😀

Exactly! just make sure not to check ANYTHING game-related.. unfollow twiiter/facebook stuff and you should be fine.. ignore new sites too .. it’ll be worth it because of the awesome enhance it will be compared to console versions
Hopefully they’ll do a preload for it so you’ll definitely get it. Is there no way at all that you can somehow get a faster connection? It might sound silly but maybe upgrade your internet for a month? I haven’t seen any news of a physical copy for PC. Or maybe use the 6 month wait to save for a second hand PS4? I got mine for almost half price with Ground Zeroes and Infamous. That way you’re guaranteed a copy on day 1.
My connection is really good and I had a lot of trouble with GTA5 on PS3 because it was 30GB, then again maybe that was because of the PS3 tech.

from where I am located internet plans are worst,
we pay an equivalent of 40$ per month for a 3Mbps plan here. also at we have the worst FUP (Fair Usage Policy) I think if we exceed 2 or 4 GB per day the speed decreases. you will get 3% of your plan..

Are there no unlimited plans you could get? There’s no way I’d be able to survive on 4GB. Once I was talking to a guy from my ISP and he said I used almost 1TB in a month. -_- That’s what I get for using Youtube as my TV.
Even if unlimited plans are a little more money they’re always better in my opinion because I don’t know anyone who can resist going over their bandwidth limit.

I can only find the UK version on Game which is available now in case you didn’t know. I pre-ordered a copy. If it’s possible to get the Japanese version I’ll be getting that too if they don’t all sell out. This is the only game I’m willing to buy collector’s editions for.

guys the folks over at the reddit tell me that the Japanese version WILL NOT come with a statue of Venom Snake. It’s a mistranslation. It’s really just a skin, not a statue. Not a fan of the replica arm. For some reason, replicas that come with games tend to be cheaply made.

I was hoping there would be a compilation but I guess we might have to wait longer for that, basicly what Nyxus said. I still want a bigger collectors edition even though I won’t get one, I mean we only see a MGS game once every blue moon and they are ground breaking every time and this will probably be Kojima’s last MGS so why isn’t there an expensive super collectors edition? Konami is treating MGSV as just another game, it is a huge money maker for them and there are a lot of people who would spend to much money on it and the best we get is a $100 cookie cutter special edition without even a figure (half size arm doesn’t count) or even a complete soundtrack or artbook? there isn’t even a complete MGSV edition that includes the prologue MGSV-GZ. To put it simply Konami’s selling the game like shit, and I hope they realize this so people can get the editions they want/wanted.

so what does does means? japan is literally closer to chine where all this stuff is been manufactured so shipping stuff from there (sometimes KONAMI actually has its factories in main land Japan) is pretty cheap… so the 400paged HD edition book can be shipped with no trouble but imagine shipping that huge box all arround the world? since konami don’t expect for some reason that overseas fans will pay for the extra pounds they actually chop some of the contents in half (specially the physical stuff.. like making snake’s cyborg arm half size), so they can ship to packs instead of one and this is how we end up without toys and books without half of their actual content, also CD’s they won’t pay for international release royalties or something since KONAMI doesn’t like to bundle them on international releases…
KONAMI knows that die-hard fans will order stuff from japan anyways and they will pay the extra for shipping a book double its weight across the pacific
Completely agree, it just gets under my skin considering what they could be selling. Unluckily for them I have the money and I’m a die hard fan but in no way shape or form am I gonna try to import any of it.

I had GZ on ps3 back when I didn’t have a ps4. I bought my ps4 with GZ and believe me it looks way better on ps4. I guess if you can’t buy a ps4 it will be alright, but I compared them side to side on two different tvs and is a lot of difference. Ps4 version has a sharper and cleaner image , better frame rate and draw distances. The ps3 version was almost hurt to see when you’ve already played the ps4 version.
Tbh i was planning to get the PS3 since it has custom OST which i’m not sure if PS4 will have.
I may get the PS3 version later down the road. Do hope at least it has cross save capabilities.

You can put your own music on the PS3 and PC version of Ground Zeroes.
PS4 and Xbox One is not possible since both system hasn’t supported MP3 playback on the system itself.
Though PS4 now supports USB playback where you need to use an USB instead of the system itself.

no words on collectors edition DLC for last gen? don’t need the arm, steelbook, map or all that physical shit – just not into it. would be awesome if there would be a digital release with ALL the 21 DLC’s instead of the meager 5. or at least a confirmation if the gold weapons, metal gear helmet, venom snake emblem are still unlockable via progress in MGO (like battlefield, COD) or that things like camos, boxes & weapons for the singleplayer can still be developed theough R&D team on motherbase.

I can’t get registered with Konami Style, I get to the part where it asks for the Konami ID and password and everything I enter isn’t acceptable. The translation doesn’t make any sense either. Will they only accept usernames and passwords in Japanese? Playasia has it as well but it’s 504 Dollars plus 107 dollars for shipping OUCH.
To buy on Konamistyle (and most other Japanese websites) you need an address in Japan and therefore a deputy like Shopping Mall Japan. It’s a company which helps you buy from those sites. But make no mistake, their services are expensive. Less than PlayAsia, though. ^^

I dont get this. Amazon only had a short supply and then no one else got them. Is all the stuff happening with Kojima and Konami causing a lack of supply?
I’m not finding alot of info, so I wanna ask directly-ish. MGS V: TPP SE/PP is not available in the US? Gamestop. com shows it has it, but is currently unavailable. When I go there next I’ll check on that.
The Special Edition and Premium Package are Japan only. The US will get the Collector’s Edition (with the half scale arm replica) and Day One Edition, just like Europe.
I’m getting nervous about the transfer.
The PS4 kinda sucks on how share DLC cannot be played on different account despite installing it on the same system(this is not a problem for PS3)
So if i redeem my code on JPN account on PS4 for Mother Base Stuff, i fear that it won’t be able to read it on my NA account due to the code being locked on that JPN account(hopefully it’s not the case)

Hello I have been trying to contact you through various communication routes, everything from Twitter to Konami support, because I have been having issues with the preorder of Metal Gear Solid Phantom Pain collector’s edition. I have been trying to get it and it’s sold out everywhere I find it unfair that workers of the retailer like GAME in Caceres Spain bought multiple games to save for their friends and or to later on sell it for larger profit thus making it impossible for me and others like me to obtain the edition. I waited at the store and in less than 30 minutes all the games were sold out. I have been a huge fan of all the MGS games bought PS2 because of MGS2 bought PS3 because MGS3 and 4 bought PS4 because of MGS5 and over the years i have spent hundreds and hundreds of euros with your company. I have been a supporter and an enthusiast ever since MGS1.And now I’ve been waiting for this game ever since the first news spread years ago and have been continuing to try to obtain the edition from 22 countries around the globe including United States, Canada and Japan without any success. I would really appreciate any information that could point me in the right direction to obtain this edition. I look forward to your reply. Thank you for your attention.

As you can see friends were having problems here is spain with the retailers and it’s impossible to obtain a copy if any of you knows somewhere I could obtain a copy I would build you a statue or the edition of Japan

I think the regular edition is the Day One edition.
so is the mother base staff from the save transfer the same as the voucher?

Wish the US collector’s edition came with the art book but then again I am very happy I was lucky enough to grab the collector’s edition when Target threw it back up as being available. The bionic arm is going to be awesome to hold my controllers when I’m not using them!
I just don´t understand why we last-gen folk won´t get a special edition… The Day One Edition´s goodies is a joke. A map, a fucking map and some in-game flashy equipment. Seriously… At least give us the same Collector´s Edition you are giving PS4 and Xbox One owners -.-
And I really hope the GZ voucher code gets me something reaaaaally good…
I am happy. Finally was able to preorder the collectors edition. Now all that is left is to wait 2 1/2 weeks.
if only i had a next gen console,, i want that art book and the arm!!
