    I was blown away by the sandbox features. The moment with the jeep and helicopter was the highlight of this demo.

    It’s the first True Sandbox Stealth simulator.

    Awesome!!

    My solution for the box being OP is you can only used it once. So if you used it to fool the soldier, the box will disappear and cannot be picked up again once the soldier get’s distracted to it.

    Either you would need to find another one on the field or use a supply drop box to refill yours.

    Also i hope you can’t just use box in every enemy. I do like that they emphasize on the distance since being too close, you can’t use the “soldier salute” box on it or they’ll spot you.

    Another amazing new feature is now soldiers have helmets, so that limits your options for using tranquilizers which will force you to actual sneak in the game. I would also like an option where soldiers actual have anti CQC skills so you can’t just CQC them up front(will probably have to do it at back) on higher difficulties.

    Still wish they fixed the fulton animation where if the soldier is knocked out or sleeping, he shouldn’t scream as he ascends to the chopper.

    I’m glad humor is back on MGS. It would have been the same without it ^^

    Can’t wait for this though!! Lots of MGS news despite being in the same desert, but different area.

      P.S. The box is far from OP, you will need high level R&D to get those features, I mean you will most likely finish most the story before you even see these features let alone find some way to think they are OP, this playthrough they are showing has some really high teams for their entire mother base, just look at the fulton %, it is really high, like 100% most the time, you must need a high team to get that kind of chance. Also it only opens up more options for the player, more options does not = easier or OP, it allows people to play the way they want to and allows them to play the way they are most comfortable with which allows them to play the game easier but it does not make the game itself any easier.

        Pretty sure The Boss, Ocelot and Solid Snake have shown quite a few tricks against Big Boss 😛

        I already knew these are high level equipment. All i’m asking is some sort consequence for using it that’s all. I actually think it’s fair you can only use one box per trick as opposed to keep reusing the same box on every soldier.

        And i never said anything about limiting options. It’s good to actual have multiple options, but at the same time, it’s also good if we can balance them in some way that doesn’t make the game too easy(which i don’t think it is, since i’ve been getting a lot of early alerts from simple mistakes).

        And i’m sure the box is OP which is fine and nothing wrong with that. Other weapons have some amazing effects as well like Empty Magazine tricks to change enemy’s path as well as no silencer limit on tranquilizers.

        I actually missed the level usage on each weapon from Peace Walker where each weapon’s handling and ammo get’s better the more you use it. Then again i never used a lot of weapons so it can be a pain in the ass to leveling them in each weapon.

        And i’m sure there will be other Peace Walker weapons that will return as well like Stealth Camo, Stealth Cape, Bandanna(single player only), Fulton bazooka, etc.

        And i haven’t even mentioned things like playable tanks, Metal Gear Zeke like, choppers, air strike(hopefully we can control the air craft this time around) etc.

        So yeah there are tons of options in the game. I’m sure once you finish the game it will be a cake walk once you have all these equipment.

        I just want some sort of penalty when you have all these gadgets at your disposal.

    The MB infiltration feature is just crazy. Every MB means a new, individual base to infiltrate PLUS opportunity to fulton equipment for your own MB. This reminds me of Clash of Clans!!

      Yeah it’s cool and awesomely unique in a bunch of ways. (I’m definitely playing this one 100% offline, last thing I need is someone stealing my crap or to steal someone else’s crap)

    Sweet all sorts of pimp, unfortunately Kojima wants to show so much yet doesn’t want to show anything so we always end up with the same area and mission.

    Three things.
    1) My biggest beef with Peace Walker was the fact that I could not shoot people in the neck who had helmets, if I can’t head shot them than I sure as hell can get them in the neck, because this is a console numbered MGS which is again pushing the limits and is all about being dark and realistic, I sure as hell hope I can shoot people in the neck for a one shot knock out if they are wearing helmets, I mean at the very least I will have to become up the butt master again (sounds wrong, lol >.<) and shoot everyone in the rear.
    2) Did anyone else notice the map was split into different areas with entrances to other areas, I saw it and was disappointed, my single biggest question is if the separation is just for the map or if it is for loading screens, even if not a "loading screen" if it has to load the next area when you enter these "entrances" it would be quite a negative impact on Kojimas vast open world stealth game, I mean I expected this because you fly back and forth between areas and mother base, but to be honest the area of the mission is quite small when compared to the nature of the game and its gameplay.
    3) Having enemies adapt to what you do is really awesome and cool, but it breaks immersion when replaying story missions and have the guards adjusted to when you last did that mission, I'm not one to let small things or good gameplay ruin my immersion because "ITS NOT REALISTIC OR DARK ENOUGH" but when I replay a story mission and the guards are adjusted because of what I did last time I played that story mission my mind automatically goes "wtf, do the guards have memory of events repeating themselves or from another reality?"

      my thoughts on your questions:

      1) I doubt shooting in the neck will kill them in the game. Your Point is right, but it would make the helmets pointless, so… i doubt they change that.

      2) didn’t notice until you mentioned it. guess we’ll have to see. i don’t think kojima will put loading screens into it, since he’s so much into GTA. i’m sure he wants the open world feeling as much as we would.

      3) when you replay it, it will be different guards, just like in peace walker. they are not the same, they learned from the mistakes of their companions.

        I agree on point “1)” I jsut had to say that it is really dumb to me to not be able to shoot them in the neck where something like a tranq would be most effective, but yeah I doubt they will change or add it, just me saying I hate it.

        3)That’s what I’m saying, if it a story mission how do the guards learn from other guards and memories that haven’t happened yet, for a story mission you will be reliving that point in time and history, having the guards learn from a rerun of a canonically dated and timed mission is really weird to me, nothing wrong with it it just messes with my brain and it took me a bit to understand what he was saying because he was showing off a story mission when telling us about it.

    And when I saw the last scene of mother base and OTHER snake is showing up, I said could that be the multiplayer looks like PW?

      i’m afraid you’re right. they could at least change the look of that second snake, something like in pw, were the other players look like special soldiers. but yes, i’m afraid that motherbasew attack thing will be the multiplayer. i hope there is much more. i would at least be happy with a map like that afghanistan place were you could play deathmatch or capture the flag or something like that…

        well you guys are also forgetting that PW sorta had 2 separate multiplayers.. at least in my eyes, co ops was multiplayer.. then there was versus ops.. It could be like that.. Im hoping its like that. IT SHOULD BE LIKE THAT. I mean.. Kojima himself praised GTAV.. they have open world free roam online as well as competitive multiplayer games.

      MG series rains supreme over Splinter cell, but there is always room for more stealth games that well put together. AC Unity, FarCry 4, Splinter Cell, hell even Battlefield is getting into stealth mechanics. Great for me, great for us. SASTISFY THAT INNER STALKER.

          would you like this kind of feature to be implement into MGO3 which is using a webcam playstation eye or Kinect to record your movements and 3d scan you for your character and use your voice which has been recorded for also your character.

            I hope mgo3 has a better player customization than mgo2 which also had an amazing/masterpiece player customization and has the features you mentioned.

            what about it has features that bo2 had(which were really good)and improved them. it has both pick 13 and player customization.but yes the exo abilities are realllyyyyyyyyyyyy unbalanced knowing bloody cod players. but it doesn’t have the ass hud that ghosts had.once I was playing ghosts with a panzerfaust but due to the hud I got killed by a small assault rifle.

        It’s a bit long, but please take the time to read this. Then, let me know your thoughts on it.

        I think what you said can be challenged, if we’re talking purely “stealth gameplay”. Graphically, audio, and voice acting (though not by a longshot on that one) – MGS takes it. But “stealth gameplay” is something I think Splinter Cell had always done a better job in. However, with the new feature of “open-world” integrated into Metal Gear, giving us “freedom”; something Splinter Cell had a lot more until now, perhaps now it may have a better stealth gameplay. But before The Phantom Pain no way, man.

        The gameplay is also almost perfect in Splinter Cell for a stealth junkie like myself. Sure, I love Metal Gear’s gameplay, it wouldn’t be my favorite franchise if I didn’t, but Splinter Cell has ‘sneaking and stealth’ down to a science. You really feel like you are an actual spy and that’s something I never really got with Metal Gear games. I always felt like I don’t have alot of choices on where to go in MG games and the controls to me atleast are not near as fluid as they should be. Especially the older Metal Gear Solid games. Going into first person all the time is clunky as hell and the environments don’t offer many ways to tackle an enemy. It was all pretty simple stuff. Metal Gear Solid I loved purely for its voice-acting and storytelling. MGS2 for its ‘slice-of-life’. MGS3 & 4 raised the ante in gameplay making me fall deeper into liking the series. GZ almost closed the gap. TTP might surpass it xDD And I do sure hope so!

        But you see, in Splinter Cell I have sticky shockers to shoot the puddle of water a guard is standing in, I can shoot out lights effecting gameplay in my favor, choke guys out while hanging from pipes. It’s just a plethora of ways to take out enemies. Then we have the very open environments and the way you can use noise and other things to lure enemies in and take them out. Sure, Metal Gear should be praised for paving the way for Splinter Cell’s stealth mechanics but Splinter Cell should be praised for almost if not perfecting it. The fact that Metal Gear Solid 4 uses the same basic control set up as Chaos Theory and MGS 3 Subsistance, MGS 4, and PeaceWalker all use the behind the back camera like Splinter Cell tells you that Kojima obviously agreed to an extent. And we can’t forget the homeage of the Sam Fisher’s trademark goggles he wore in a MGS teaser : )

        And if you preferre more realism over fantasy type stories where a guy fights huge robots Splinter Cell has deep narratives and are realistic in alot of ways.

          metal gear (the mech) is not inspired by fantasy but by realistic fiction. So are nanomachines.the games are not based on a guy who fights mechas due to a small reason(he wants to fight(MG2)) but by a guy who must stop a nuclear launch due to geopolitical reasons.les enfants terribles is not fantasy but truth. it is like that we clone someone.if mgs is your favourite franchise you should had known It.For gameplay it is definitely true splinter cell is more realistic(i played a bit of chaos theory) but in story they have the nearly the same level of realism.Did you see mgs3″s intro.that defends my opinion.

    I liked everything I saw, while I was expecting to see different areas. But especially Mother Base infiltration during night looked beautiful :), and climbing pipes sweet! Pc release to play with jap voice acting is nice too. I might play first offline to experience the story without someone robbing my stuff.

    @noplace I didn’t notice the map being split into different areas, but check again later :D.

    I would like to write so much more about this, but need to go sleep, good night all 😉 !

    P.S. Was playing P.T. but couldn’t finish, because it was too SCARY @_@… I’m a long time horror gamer, but this teaser alone was too intense lol. Alone in dark room, with headphones on phew… can’t wait to play Silent Hills.

      I finished about 95% of P.T. without looking anything up, and when I hit the last puzzle I had to quit after spending an hour on it, played in a dark closed room on a hot day nearly killed me. I might try again later, but after reading what Kojima said about it finishing it might be more luck than we think, considering hints pop up for about 2 seconds which are backwards and are in a different language.

        Yeah, I watched yesterday this one dude try beating P.T. He had over 1000 viewers :D, and was like wtf am I supposed to dooooo?! So many trying to help him or just fool with him, but the events or hints in it are quite random I think, so it didn’t progress much. In the end the guy gave up lol, after saying he had been stuck for 3 hours ;D xD.

    I know,speedruns are not much in the spirit of the game,but they’re fun anyway..
    Well,maybe it’s better like this,so every playthrough will be different and challanging.

    That live-stream was pretty weak. I mean he shows us the same mission from E3 (even though it was with different gameplay) and the same box footage from the sony conference. As if that wasn’t enough the guy doesn’t announce a release date and spends half an hour talking about PT -.- …
    Why wasn’t this infiltration footage on the live-stream? That would be something I would like too see instead of horse poo…
