Revealed at Wonder Festival: Metal Gear from MGSV, Nendoroid Raiden and Venom Snake, and more
Wonder Festival 2015 (Winter) has begun in Japan. At this event, held in the Makuhari Messe in Tokyo, all kinds of figures and other merchandise for anime and video games are displayed and sold. A bunch of new Metal Gear goodies have been unveiled as well.
First of all, the prosthetic arm we have seen on many of Kojima’s pictures. They mentioned earlier that they were planning to sell it as merchandise, and now it’s on display at the event.
Also, it seems like there will be a figure of the Metal Gear from The Phantom Pain, but all we get for now is a silhouette. There will be a model kit by Kotobukiya (above) and a fully painted statue by Sentinel (below).
Then there’s a new Revolmini figure: the soviet soldiers from MGSV: The Phantom Pain. You can see the Venom Snake version on display as well. Last year the first two in this line were released: Solid Snake and Gray Fox.
The Union Creative Venom Snake makes a return as well, but it seems it doesn’t have a paint job yet.
Goodsmile also revealed two new Nendoroid Metal Gear figures they are developing: Venom Snake from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and Raiden from Metal Gear Solid 2. A Solid Snake version was released last year.
Lastly, the half-size Metal Gear RAY and Metal Gear REX statues by 3A, that were announced recently.
Looks like Metal Gear collectors better start saving up.

I’m guessing it’s just part of the stand it’s “displayed” on along with the narrower and probably seethrough part that keeps it from tipping forwards

A Display stand most probably.. If not that, it is a tail OR a third leg that attaches itself to the ground for balance and grip before it fires a heavy round of something, perhaps a nuclear war head or rail gun round.

Now I really have to get those Nendoriod Metal Gear figures! My two favorite characters Big Boss and Raiden? NICE! Though, I’ll have Solid Snake in the middle of them since, you know, he’s practically “the one” in the Metal Gear universe.

Yeah I played Peace Walker a lot, Twice in fact, and I got all heads parts twice….. I played it too much, lol.
ahh man .. I played it 3 times, first time the save file got corrupted, second time i deleted the file by mistake thinking i had a back up :/ Each time I had over 50+ hrs of gameplay with 70-85% of the game complete :/ The current save I have has surpassed the previous ones 😀
I accidentally deleted my save too (long story lol), thankfully it was on the PSP so I found a way to undelete it, but after accidentally deleting it I was like NOOOOOOOO!, lol.
I think I spent more time in the Monster Hunter Missions trying to develop the human slingshot.

From what we’ve seen in the trailer so far i think it looks like a mix of ZEKE and REX.
This is madness. They are revealing the Metal Gear in TPP but no news when we’re actually going to play the damn game. How do you justify a figure you have no details about or a simple idea as to what it is and how it came to be a metal gear. This just really grinds my gears. Not having the game that is.

I thought of the same thing when I saw it, Metal Gear D.
They should release a version of the prosthetic arm that’s hollow so we can wear it around like an actual prosthetic, while at the same time making the fingers need a little more force to move, so if we’re not wearing it, we can make it stand up and hold stuff like what they did to that iDroid thing not-so-long ago.

Does it have a tail? The way the legs are shaped reminds me slightly of Ray but the upper body reminds me of Rex. Maybe it’s a combination of Rex and Ray.

Devil Fox, Great Job, Tactic Productionz, what the hell is up with that Brightness, it looks bad, i expected way better from him, he is way better than this.
Maybe I’m being a hard ass? But I wasn’t impressed with either video. This is especially surprising and disappointing for me to say that about TacticProductionz, because he usually always deliver. Out of the heavy hitters in no particular order, I see him, SneakingFox, KeftaProduction, and DevilFox as the best MGS editors I’ve seen on YouTube. Maybe there’s more, but those four are the ones with notoriety. Getting back to your comment: out the the two linked, DF’s video was better than TP, but in this case that’s not saying too much, IMO of course.
No you are not ;), we all got different opinions. I just think they are very good and cant be easy to choose the scenes to show there.
Kefka Productions is someone whose videos I often follow, but not sure has he made One yet for this contest ;D.
Really wishing I had a better Pc so I could install the video editing softwares. My mind is working in like ten million places and clips and effects.. if were me, I’d Burn Donna into the background and certain key moments rather than switch back and forth which is disorienting at times tbh. Or fade effect would work good too.. like when she hits those huge notes.. it would really awesome to show her singing beside Big boss like as if she is singing to him.. and ofcourse, i would use ALOT of mgs’s fire scenes.. fury’s fire, volgin’s end, the boss’s death, Skullface’s face from behind.. damn.. I need to give this a try now…a song’s video is better when it hits at the theme of the song.. in this case.. being sins. 🙂 One I havent seen people use yet is the cracking spectacles.. yup.. i need to try this ASAP..

Guys, don’t we already know what thew new Metal Gear looks like? It just looks like a fusion between ZEKE and Rex. I think Kojima is going to retcon TX-55 and Metal Gear D.
True it does like a fusion between them, but I dunno if he retcon. There’s couple decades between TPP and MGS1 so hard to tell.
Maybe if he remake the original Metal Gears, we might still see the same old MG or then maybe not. But if he would add TX-55 and MG D to current tech games, I guess they might look a bit different.
Kojima did say long time ago if I remember, that he might change some things. I mean MG1 and 2 are pretty old so it might not be a big surprise.
Something I have been wondering, besides 100 other things about TPP, is what happens to this TPP Metal Gear? Will we fight it in the end as usual, or actually gain control of it to wreak havoc. Or maybe something else :D…
Maybe Skull Face steals it or someone (again) destroys the Mother Base and Metal Gear with it (I’m looking at you Zero)

Yes it is. Well I really hope this is a subtle hint by kojima. The camo snake is wearing really looks like it keeps your body warm.This won’t be (obviously) needed in afghanistan or africa. And i think it isn’t the sneakin suit because of the shape on his back. If it is afghanistan/africa outside the chopper, then the fox engine is making it strangely white and i think i can see something like a needle tree outside.
Well for now, I hope that we are right and the fox engine isn’t doing something wrong with the lightning.
But then the question is: where is it and why are we going to be there?

Yeah I read it yesterday too. I can understand even Tora being annoyed that he cant reveal the date, when every fan keep asking for it all the time ;).

Looks like a list of games with prices and release dates, and for TPP it lists April 1st as the release date, other than that I have no idea what I’m looking at and or if it is important or legit so who knows?

When it comes to Kojima san and MGS TPP – People should stop trying to look for a release date and instead just wait till he announces it because till HE DOES, it wont release because he can pull how much ever time he wants to rectify his game..sad that we’ll have to wait quite some time but true too.. hold on, buddy, the wait is killing us all.. but there is no way he’ll release it this soon.. your friend must have just printed it out to have some fun, it cant be true.. so lets not get our hopes up till we hear from kojima :/

I wasn’t looking for it, he got it from GameStop because he pre-ordered evolve, and of course they wanted him to buy more games, so they printed that out for him. But I will admit that date is probably a place holder.
