  • I’m really happy for him. Well deserved for groundbreaking stealth and adventure games.
The industry needs more people like our genius. I hope that he will continue creating the best games in our industry.

Definitely need more people whom DIRECT a game, and not simply be at the head, but to BE THE HEAD. It helps to be crazy like Kojima though 🙂

  • It hurts to say this, but the actual award/trophy looks like shit. I know it’s all about the achievements in the idustry and their acknowledgement, but they could at least try to make something less resembling a 5th grade homework.

Still, very happy for Mr. Kojima, hope he delivers with Death Stranding.

I guess they designed it this way because development always has to stay minimalist in order for programs to as run fast as possible. Maybe they had this idea in mind, developers always like efficiency through simplicity.

      • I didn’t mean it was too simplistic. It just looks…cheap. Don’t know how to describe this feeling.

I understand it can appear cheap to you. At this level of success, the shape is less relevant. I am perhaps also influenced by Kojima’s pride while holding it and a simple “d” of develop’s font is perhaps not the most artistically original neither, but what a symbol, anyways ! ;D

          • It’s not even the shape. 😀
The design is fine, but the materials look cheap and it just seems unfinished, unpolished. Really can’t find the proper description 😀

You mean it looks too “raw” or something… ;D But the develop legend club is so cool that it’s ok. ;D

      Who cares?
It’s not like they would give him a platinum trophy

    Congratulations Kojima.

(I’m just gonna sneak back in here and pretend like I wasn’t away for 5 months, ironically I come back at the most busy time of the year for myself.) Figured I better jump back into the fray with more stuff happening like the TPP artbook and Kojima seriously marketing the hell out of his new studio, lol. And I’ll be honest I missed here, and got pretty side tracked with things in life, but I’m back again, long time no see comrades, glad to be back.
