Metal Gear in Concert announced
A Metal Gear concert will be held later this year in Osaka and Tokyo.

Orix Theatre, Osaka
July 30th, 17:00
Tokyo International Forum, Tokyo
August 2nd, 19:00
Tickets will be sold for 9500 yen.
The conductor is Nicholas Buc, with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra in Tokyo, and the Osaka Symphony Orchestra in Osaka. The singer is Donna Burke, who performed both Heavens Divide from Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and Sins of the Father from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, as well as providing the voice of the iDroid in MGSV.

Much like the successful Legend of Zelda concert, images will be displayed on a big screen in synchrony with the music. The premiere of Metal Gear in Concert is in the two Japanese cities mentioned above, but there are also plans for a world tour in North America and Europe.
A CD with covers of various Metal Gear vocal songs by Donna Burke was released in Japan in 2015, it’s likely that she’ll perform the same songs (and maybe more) at this concert.

That is incredible. This reminds me of this:

MGS series is such a masterpiece. They all deserve their own concert.
Ingrid… Am I just blinded by the relation with Metal Gear, or is she simply … Lovely … …in any aspects ?… From voice to … infinite … <333 😀
So..

Ahhhhh….
10 days left… Slurp…
Got to be honest. That’s soooo not even close to being on par with the way Harry Gregson-Williams and Cynthia Harrell laid it down. She sings so over the top cheesy and those guitars just aren’t helping the situation. Which once sounded grand now sounds very corny. I’m in Tokyo and I’m going to the concert, but if the entirety of it sounds this bad I’ll be pissed I paid ¥9,500 for it.
That’s not Donna Burke though.

Do you guys think Kojima will use Donna in DS? Or he will go for Adele?
Where this rumor with Adele comes from?
I don’t know who Kojima will use in the end, but Adele is just too expensive at this point.
Not a rumor just an assumption given that he is going after Hollywood actors. If he had to choose a singer he would probably go for Adele. Speaking of expensive, what do you think Sony are there for?
This is a new IP. There is no guarantee that it will sell enough for Adele to be in the game and say… “Well, that was worth it from a financial standpoint.”
For now, Death Stranding is a risk for Sony. You are right about Kojima that he is looking at the Hollywood actors, but we don’t know if he is looking for Hollywood singers at this point.
Would be cool if Kojima used her for DS.
Netherlands please!
Yep. How about here?

Found out that Konami Kukeiha Club have been releasing LP’s of their old chiptune soundtracks this year, so far Snatcher, Castlevania and Contra. The packaging is pretty nice for the Snatcher one, I’m guessing a Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake one is on the way? Not something I’ll be buying, but thought it might interest some collectors out there, possibly you Nyx.

That looks nice! Would be fitting if they released a Metal Gear one for the 30th anniversary.
