Metal Gear in Concert returns to Tokyo in October

Metal Gear in Concert is getting another show in Tokyo, on October 11th, 2020. First held in 2017, during the concert attending Metal Gear fans are treated with music from the games performed by an orchestra, with vocals by Donna Burke (Heavens Divide, Sins of the Father). Images of the games are played on a big screen in sync with the music.

October 11, 2020 (Sun) 17:00 Start (16:00 Open)
Tokyo International Forum Hall A (Yurakucho, Tokyo)
Conductor: Hirofumi Kurita / Performance: Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra / Song: Donna Burke

In 2018, another concert was held in Tokyo, and again in 2019. Next month, a fourth performance is planned. Of course, with the pandemic still around, there will be several precautions. Attendees are required to wear a mask at all times, and refrain from cheering, among other measures. A special Metal Gear in Concert maks will be distributed to all visitors.

The concert will also be live streamed, though you will have to buy a ticket.

Previous shows were also held in Europa and US, in 2018 and 2019 respectively. There seem to be no plans for additional shows outside of Japan for now, although Donna Burke did say she’d like to come to the US again once the COVID situation is over.
