Conan visits Kojima Productions and gets a cameo in Death Stranding

Popular comedian Conan O’Brien visited Kojima Productions last year, and the video of what transpired at the studio has finally been revealed. Kojima showed Conan around the office, and also 3D scanned his likeness to have him make an appearance in the game as an NPC, much like Geoff Keighley.

Conan’s character is a prepper called The Wandering MC. If you complete his quest he’ll give you a special item, a Sea Otter Suit that prevents Sam from drifting away when crossing the river.

“Conan O’Brien appears as a prepper “The Wondering MC” in DS. You get “Sea Otter Suit” when you get connected with him. With this suit, you’ll be able to swim easily in the river, you won’t be drifted away! BB would be happy as well.” – Hideo Kojima

On Twitter, Kojima added: “It is officially called a Sea Otter hood. Originally, it was a full body suit which memorizes every gear and baggage that the player has. But we had some difficulty to adjust for all players’ situations, so we changed it to a hood instead. But I still call it a Sea Otter Suit.”
