Kojima shares more Death Stranding 2 recording photos

Last week, as the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake was being unveiled at the PlayStation Showcase, Kojima and his crew were back in The United States doing some more recordings for Death Stranding 2. In the pictures he shared we see what appear to be child actors as well as some props used for the scenes, including one that seems to be representing the trike from the game, or perhaps the unicycle we saw Fragile ride in the reveal trailer.

The logistics for all the recordings that need to be done are pretty complicated, given that the actors live outside of Japan. Performance capture is done in the US, and audio recording in either Europe or the US, while the Japanese voice overs are recorded in Kojima’s own studio back in Tokyo.

Update: in a series of tweets, Kojima talked a bit about the Japanese cast for the game and why it’s so important to choose the right actors:

Death Stranding is set to release on PlayStation 5, a release date has yet to be announced. For more behind-the-scenes pictures of the recording process, go here.
